Tamarisk is a very young production and post-production company, started by film editor Christos Giannakopoulos in 2024. The company's aim is to assist and participate in the creation of quality films, regardless of format or genre.

Christos Giannakopoulos graduated from the department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University in Athens and then studied film editing at AKMH vocational institute. He has worked as an editor and a sound designer in a number of short films, feature films and documentaries, with multiple selections and awards in major international festivals.

In 2015, he was selected at Berlinale Talents, and, in 2021, he was part of the Meet the Future initiative in the 62nd Thessaloniki IFF. He is also an active member of the Hellenic Film Academy, Blink GFE (Greek Film Editors association), as well as a lecturer at the department of Film Production at SAE Greece.

In 2020 he co-produced two short films. 54-the blind turtle and the endless sea by Isabella Margara and Pashka by Oltjon Lipe, both also in co-production with COSMOTE TV.

As an editor, he has a keen sense of how the film creating process can be differentiated to a small or larger degree, so that any artistic goal isn't hampered by the greater demands of contemporary cinema production.
